I'm still on the fence whether I should go with the carbon fiber or the gray wood. If the wood was a more natural looking walnut, I would go with that. Gray wood just reminds me of my weathered cedar adirondack chairs in my backyard. I'm afraid of the rice-boy element of carbon fiber in a $90K vehicle, but if it blends well with black leather, I just may go for it.

there are several pics of the carbon fiber interior if you do a
search but here's one http://www.audi.com/de/de/neuwagen/a6/rs_6/details/innenausstattung.jsp?featureCategoryId=28111

it's not the greatest shot but at least you can see the driver's
view:cheers:

There's a few pics in here on the carbon fibre.
How do you like the steering wheel? :D

yes, those pics give a great idea of how the carbon fiber trim
looks in real life. that's the option i choose no matter what the
"boy racer look" opinion might be from my fellow enthusiasts:hihi:

that's the best pic i've seen yet:0:

the quality of the carbon weave is definately higher than that
on the "rice boy" civic hoods in my area:cheers:

Apart from some different manufacturers Audi uses real materials.
If it's wood it's wood not plastic. If it's carbon fibre it's the real thing not just some look-a-like sticker.

hello erik:)

what i meant was the difference in REAL carbon fiber. at the
shop i work at we've had a few kids with their hondas ask
if we could install carbon fiber hoods on their cars. the hoods we
ordered were in fact real carbon fiber (and expensive) but the
quality was not very high considering the price. the "lines" in
the weave were not very straight and the finish had many
imperfections in it. compared to the quality of the carbon in your
pics of the RS6 it is obvious they use a "higher" sourse:cheers:

That is a good picture. I think it looks good against the black leather. That may be the way to go...

Anybody else get whacked on taxes this year? The bling-bling that I need to pony up to The Man for April 15th plus Estimateds throughout the year could almost pay for an RS6. I guess I'll be financing or leasing...

sorry to hear. actually, i'm probably the poorest person on this
forum to be on the waiting list for the RS6 so i will actually be
getting money back on my taxes:cheers:
