Hi All,

I'm new to the RS6 forum but have been reading everyones posts for a while now. I owned an RS6 up until it got stolen last night! OUCH!

The police say that there is little change of the car being recovered but I WANT MY CAR BACK! ! !

My Onstar is not active and I contacted them and they told me that being that the account is disabled, there is nothing they can do unless the button is pressed from inside the car. Is this true?

If anyone has any ideas, let me know.

They came in my house (no forced entry) took both sets of keys of of my key rack. I guess they pushed the car in the street or something because I would have heard them start it.

That really sucks FreeBase!
Sounds like someone must have been stalking you for a while, and just waited for the right opportunity.

I have Lojak on my car because I figured it would be worth it for instances like this. The only issue is that I am unsure I would want her back if she ever got stolen. Just would not feel the same I guess. Violated.

Sorry to hear.

Well, I'm an RS6 owner again! At least part of one. They recovered my car. It turns out that a couple of kids took it. The police spotted the car at a highschool 7 miles from my house. When they started twards the car the kids took off in it and chase was on.

According to the police they chased them up over several curbs (yes, the from is pretty much gone!) and though some woods near by. They had to break the window and mace the kids to get them out of the car.

I went to look at what's left of my beast and post pictures later.

I am very sorry to hear about your loss.

It's a shame that the police felt they needed to do even more damage to your car to 'get the kids.'

Sorry to say it, but your almost always better off if no one ever finds your stolen car.

Hopefully it can be repaired...

Good luck.

Mike

I guess that I'm glad that I got it back. If I didn't get it back, what would I replace it with? RS4 (too small for me and not enough potential), E55 AMG (only 2WD), M5 (also 2WD and I really don't like the M5).

Now, the question is, can a repair shop fix it properly. Hopefully the DRC doesn't need to be touched.

Personally, I would contact the prosecutors office, see how they plan on charging in the case and if it's not very significant I would scream, yell, scream then yell some more.
Well. maybe not but I would sure work with them and let them know that I would not be happy with any light sentences. Then I would look into civil court. ;)

Sorry to see such a nice car trashed. From the picture you posted it's tough to tell but it all looks pretty cosmetic. Good luck with the repair.

How old were the kids? I'd lay low for a couple of years and then seek revenge! :vgrumpy:

1 kid, 17 years old, first offense. The detective said that he will probably get his hand slapped.

Cival court, cival court, cival court.

Loss of use, Expenses and Loss of Value.

shouldn't the parents be reponsible for the kid? Get a friendly shark and just clean the piss out of them - with some luck they will have homeowners policy with damage clause.
