And there is only 1 F40. The other car is a 288 GTO Evoluzionne. I believe there is only one or two cars in the world.

Cheers,
Frederic

I never thought I'd see a more expensive vehicle than the Bugatti Veyron...

...then this car transporter turns up. Wow! Wouldn't want to crash it with that lot on board.

correct! Super cool rear ends on the evo! Only thing i'd put back to original are the wheels on the F40.

Most of us take our favourite shirts when we go on holiday.

But not Nick Mason-Pink Floyd's drummer. This is what he always take on holiday with him.:hihi:

Isn't it an F40 LM (which came with competition wheels)?

That could be possible indeed. Nice wheels but not for on an F40. 'Normal' F40 wheels give that typical 80's touch.

If there is 2 F40 why do they look different. Look a the slots near the rear wing.

ok. there is 1 288 GTO EVO (the one in the top at the left corner) , 1 FXX (the one in the top at the right corner), 1 F40 LM (under the 288 GTO EVO) and 1 F50 GT (under the FXX). did we get that straight now? :vhmmm:

The 288GTO evoluzione was built on the 288GTO, which was the super ferrari before the F40. Only five built, No. 50253 at the Ferrari museum, no.70167 owned by Shin Takei, US, no.79887 owned by Harry Leventis, UK, no.79888 owned by Jaques Swaters in belgium and the last one no.79899 owned by the sultan of Brunei.

There are 18 F40 LM's, 25 FXX and 3 F50 GT:

F50GT 001 owned by Art Zafiropoulo, US, crashed during race, even though he wasn't allowed to race with it, court order from Ferrari, 002 owned J Okamoto, japan and 003 owned by Jim spiro US, but for sale for us$1.3million. The last three (004,005,006) were destroyed by Ferrari, by court order.

I wasn't sure it's just Bingocaller said that there was 2 x F40s..:bye2:

I'am not really into Ferraris, the last great Ferraris were the Dino and Daytona. Yes they make great engine but I don't like the design, the interior or the company, give me Porsche anyday a really engineering company, function over sytle.

If you think Ferrari engines are great then you shouldn't like the Dino? Ferrari diehards don't even consider the V6 cars real Ferraris.

As for engineering, have you checked out the new Porsche models? They aren't exacly well made and function over style. Ferrari on the other hand, has made a huge turn in how they make their road cars: their cars are now butt ugly but beautifully made. Check out the F430, it's an engineering marvel: great performance and even greater build quality. Gordan Murray says so too (in his EVO column), if you don't believe my words.

I refer to the dino only from a design a point of view. Inside and out it looked beautiful. I agree the F430 is great and a return to Ferrari of old.
