Are my eyes deceiving me? Aren't those the OEM front calipers and rotors for the RS6?

Seems like a saw a picture of the rear calipers that were Brembo's recently.

They are OEM calipers. It had OEM in the front, Alcon's in the back. According to Pobst (driver) the brakes were great, but they needed some tuning. He also said the tires held up suprisingly well.

Interesting indeed! I don't supose he elaborated on what he meant by "tuned" did he? Also, I imagine they had air hoses pointing directly at the brakes to help keep them cool and used track pads.

He didn't elaborate on what he meant, but i got the general feeling that it was a cooling issue. He said that in any other conditions than an all out race, the brakes would be perfect!

My thoughts exactly!

It might be worth the time and effort however to see about getting more air to the front brakes. Especially if a person had any inclination to track the car or be hard on the brakes on the streets. IMHO!

:addict: This is what I read somewhere concerning the brakes. If they run aftermarket brakes, according the SpeedWorld-Challenge(SP) regulations, they will be required to run something smaller. Since the car is manufactured and sold with large(larger than SP Regulation Spec.s) OEM brakes, they can be used.

i will check into additional cooling for the brakes as i plan to
take my RS6 to every local audi quattro club event in my area.

although i don't plan on beating the royal crap out of my car ,
i don't plan on exactly driving it like my grandmother either:hihi:

I'm with you on that Benman. Let me know what you come up with and I'll do the same.
