I want to have some stuff stocked up so I can do intervals of oil and filter between going to the dealer, where is a good place to buy the 5-50 and the oil filters.

Call a few dealers that may be close to you, and see which has the lowest price:
078-115-561-K Oil Filter
G-052-167-A2 Motor Oil

Once a while back, I had heard that even some VW dealers stocked this stuff for Diesel engines. Might have been a dream though.
