I was fooling around with M/S Paint and came up with this little styling tweak. Has anyone seen an aftermarket styling package which includes a big grill?

Agreed, it would be an easy way to bring the front end styling up to present "corporate" standards - and make the beast look more like a beast! Not to mention the benefits of a little more air flow...

I need to find someone who is a photoshop expert!:addict:

When you mess with beauty, you may end up with more than what you bargained for.

Case in point:

The lower front part of the hood is lengthened and a larger grill shell fitted - the bumper cover and lower air inlet grills arn't changed except for a cosmetic piece of trim.

The "under-bite" on your photo of the RS6 with twin FMICs is pretty awful.

Might be better without the slightly off-center "Shelby stripes". :-)

The facial feature of the C5 RS6 is not built correctly to accommodate the phish-mouth grille properly. And there is nothing wrong with that.

omg...puke: horrible... Please leave the beautiful RS6 alone, and let the next one have the grille.

Guess we'll have to wait for the new one to be released.

No, and i don't see the reason for that, they have it for those, but no for A6.

I think Hoffle should be persuaded (begged, bribed) supply a kit for the A6, S6, RS6. Looks great on the black D2 A8.

Hoffle may have held off because the hood probably needs to be modifieded to make this work. Bumper covers are easy to make, but bodywork to the hood would be a big drawback and dent in the pocket.

I wonder if there is a way to make it happen with a modified bumper cover and leave the hood alone?

Paldi,
If you are really feelin' it, I can give you the number of a couple of shops nationwide, that will build you a new front.
The nose job can be done only for you. At least you will be different.

I get enjoyment from promoting a cause that others jump on. It would be difficult for me at this juncture because I don't currently have the pleasure of owning an RS6 or S6 (or A6). My current passion is a 2004 VW Phaeton. It's under powered I suspect, since I keep being blown away by RS6s. :-)

Before I purchased the PhA8ton, I decided to explore larger wheels for it and discovered Bentley wheels and their larger tires might fit. Bought the car, bought the wheels and tires. Now six Phaeton guys have followed that path plus an A8L D3 owner. :-)

My next car will be an RS6, or I'll figure a way to put a twin turbo 4.2 V8 into the VW.

the contours of the older D3 Audi A8L front to accept their grill shape. I think they did a good job with it and were able to do it without modifying the hood. Pretty sharp engineering, if you like the big face. :-)
