I love that one of the engine with the chrome intake manifold and red cam covers - it's just a shame that in the stock car it's all covered up:(

(Like most cars these days - it used to be a real pleasure looking under the hood/bonnet)

I'll be seeing the RS6 in its 2nd race of the weekend at Lime Rock tomorrow. It finished 3rd in Sebring. 3rd in Mosport and 3rd in Saturday's race (all with Randy Probst driving.) Galati hasn't been doing well. His car overheated in Mosport in spite of the water rigged to spray on the intercooler.

Here's the link: http://www.championracing.net/Audi_RS6/home/audi_rs_6_main.htm

Should have som pictures to post when it's all over.

Speed.

PS Anyone else going to be there?:race: :race:

Didn't Galati retire due to overheating from a hole in the radiator? Looks like they have allot of work left to do sorting the RS 6 out for competition. It blew the competition away on the straightaways but is not handling up to it's potential.

They're hoping for rain tomorrow. In the first race at Lime Rock, Auberlein started last in his M3. The Audis led for the first 12 laps. Auberlein caught them and easily won the race. Boris Said came in 2nd in another M3.

Went to Lime Rock. It poured all day. Galati crashed. Pobst led most of the race, but went off at turn 2 long enough for Aberlein to pass him and eventually take the win. All of the races had at least one full course yellow as cars bogged down off track in the mud had to be towed to safety. Thought I had some great video, but the tape is having problems (rain). Hope to get it sorted so you can hear what a racing RS6 with side pipes sounds like.

BTW. LUV2XLR8 has a piece of Galati's carbon front air dam that the Champion team gave him. They are great folks and Galati and Pobst talked to him for about 20 minutes after the race. They seemed genuinely interested in the fact that we're getting an RS6, and invited us to bring it to the paddock the next time they are there. Also, their wheels are beautiful and for sale.
