Thanks Fred for this great MTM news update about the B7 RS4 project. I like this new CF hood, it looks very agressive and suitable for the new RS4. I'm sure with his new rear silencers this V8 engine sounds even more badass. :revs:

Definitely very nice parts. I can't tell you the figures but the RS4 V8 is quite a beast with potential.....

Frederic

Now see, why can't MTM produce a CF hood for the RS 6 that looks like that one? Instead of the butt ugly abomination "louvers" they have for it!

That one is sooooo much better! Also like how they painted the sides of the hoods but left the center for all to see!

Ben:addict:

BTW, do they make one for the RS 4 MkI?

It's really hard to tell from that pic, but I'm just going to say no on that one.

Officially, this RS4 V8 MTM has no Carbon Fiber Roof....

Nice car, should be reD..

I can see them now. :0:

Slants in the hood, scoops in the bumper (next to the foglight)... something in there needs a lot of air. The pictures seem to be shot in such a way that you wouldn't see a potential intercooler. And in the shot of the underside the exhaust has been obscured.

Something tells me this is going to be a lot more than a supercharger kit.

the ducts in the spoiler are there on the car already, they've just taken the honeycomb mesh off ;)

Still, I'm going to predict that this car will try to match or exceed the 602hp/720Nm of the previous MTM RS4. Their supercharged V8s run up to 500hp/560Nm.

The CF hood is probably there to offset the weight of the additional hardware.

I can't see the CF hood making a significant difference being that the RS4's is already made of aluminum.

Probably only a few pounds, but it looks nice.:D

CF Hood, I would guess is more for heat venting then anything.

As for trying the match the previous RS4 power output, I think that will be a challenge to, say the least. They will have to rebuild the power plant and lower compression as it is already pretty strung out. Not too mention I have heard reports of stock B7 RS4 motors burning a litre of oil every 500 km, seems to be quite a bit.

I'd agree with Bauer on that one. When it comes to outright power, nothing is easier than a pair of turbos.:thumb:

The CF Hood is there for the look and also to evacuate the heat. Not a surprise actually when you see this high output engine in such a small space. As for the kompressor kit, Mr Mayer will reach new levels.....

Frederic
