Some info for sharing...

I was at the Motor Show (again) and had a chance to sit in the RS4 - which I am hoping will get me through the next 2 months while I wait for mine....but I am not sure it will :(

I digress......

Anyway the rep showed me that the SatNav screen folds down off the dashboard to reveal the slot that the SatNav DVD goes into as well as 2 SD cards that you can store MP3's on.

That is a feature of all RNS-E based systems. That has been available since 2004 if I remember correctly, which is part of the RNS-E Nav system I upgraded my car to.

It is pretty sweet.

can't remember the cost but my guy told me to get it if only for money reasons - it'll take away from the resale value if you don't have it.

Don't know the cost on the RS4 because here in Australia it comes standard. However a friend who was looking at an A4 said its about $7k.
