Apparently road salt eats the seal rings on the DRC shocks!

Both my rears leaked due to this!

So clean your undercariage frequently in the winter!

Good to know! 12 year warranty is only good for rust, not DRC damage apparently!

Not a huge concern for us So Cal guys, but I have taken the Beast up to the mountains a few times to play in the snow. Each trip back I spend 25 minutes hosing off all the nooks and crannies of the undertray and wheelwells. Nice to know that I wasn't wasting my time!:thumb:

Hey, if I don't make excuses for myself, who will?

Thanks for the warning!

I don't clean the Beast nearly enough in the winter. Guess I'll make more of an effort now.

Thanks for the heads up. Good to know I've done something right, even if I didn't know it.

Each wash I surely hose down the inner walls of the wheel wells pretty good. Hopefully this has helped cleaning any salt that made it in there. Good thing it has snowed little in the Northeast this year, except for this past weekends storm. She stayed in. Very tempted to taker her our for fun.
