Milltek Sport, in conjunction with Swiss importer Tranchet Trading and tuning partner Digit-Power have released promising results from the first tests of their new cat-back exhaust system for the latest high-performance Audi RS4 4.2V8 B7. The car is rated at 420bhp as standard and with the new cat-back system fitted, showed an improvement of 10.2hp @ 5900 rpm and 20.7nm @ 2610 rpm!

The exhaust system will be available through our specialist tuning companies within the next few weeks. Keep checking back here for more information as it becomes available.

I can't wait for this. I've been anticipating exhaust systems for this V8, as even stock the engine sounds amazing. 10.2 horsepower and 15.3 lb-ft of torque in gains isn't too shabby either.

Are you in for the RS4? From your posts I didn't think you were.

Haha, if by that you mean am I getting one then no. The RS4 is not a vehicle that I can afford. I was kind of disappointed that for 72 thousand dollars or so that we don't even get the Gallardo steering wheel or amazing sport seats in the US spec RS4. I did see the seats they used in the RS4 at the LA Auto Show and they did do a very good job instead of just using the seats from the S4.

The RS4 is a car I'd love to own and drive if some random person bought one for me, but I wouldn't want to use my or my family's resources on one.

I am most likely buying a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR edition for my next car. This car is faster than the RS4 around most tracks, and wouldn't lose too badly in a straight line as well (could beat it with modifications). The car isn't an Audi, though. I'll miss the amazing fit and finish and overall quality feeling I had with my TT, but I guess it's the price I pay for performance. Unfortunately, I can't afford a car that is as fast as the Evo but at the same time is German, haha.

sound :D very good. However I would prefer to keep the oval pipes rather than having 4 pipes.

I presume you can keep the oval pipes and change the rest and get same hp and torque improvement ?

I'm guessing the system when it actually comes out will give you the option of oval or dual tips on each side, but only time will tell unless you want to ask them specifically.

I can wait but I will definitely go for it after a while if oval pipes are available. First I need to get the car :D :incar:

I'm sure there will be other systems coming out as well, so comparisons may be in order before a purchase is made.
