I know it's not the RS6, but the S6 with V10 ain't bad.

I really hope it will perform a lot better than the old S6.

About the S6:

- Exterior is very nice imo, understated but it's there... should stand a bit lower though
- The wheels are not super imo, these RS4 rims are a bit better
- The interior is simply superb! Magnificent as always
- But the v10 with 'only' 420bhp is a bit poor. They have a 4.2 that does that:confused:

But it's too bad that this pics are mostly so unreal.
Little bit more realistic is better, in my mind. Especially for wallpapers.

I don't think that 420 bhp for an S6 are too low.
That's a lot more bhp than the prior S6 had.
However, the S6 had no real competitor or with which BMW whould you compare it?

So, it's an beautiful piece of car :applause:

it has always been a bit like that I think.

With the previous S6 it was above a 540i but down on the M5.
Now again the S6, with 80hp less than the new M5, it is down on the performance, but the RS6 should jump ahead again.

I always say the S6 as a sporty, but not 'radical' (but still for a sedan) car. Where as the RS6 is a sort of hard core sedan. If you just want that tadd sportiness extra , get an S6 :)

Newer got the idea behind the S6

Merc = E420 - E55

BWM = 540i - M5

Audi = 4.2 - S6 - RS6 :confused:

I'm thinking the next RS 6 is going to need some seriously flared fenders to make this understated S6 stand out. The car is very nice but nothing that says sporty like the 03' RS 6!:p

So...finally some REAL news about the S6, and good ones as well, at least I think that a V10 with 420hp in a 4 door saloon is not bad at all and as someone before me said this car is a big improvement from the previous generation S6. I like it :thumb:.

Maybe it's not to difficult to push it to 450bhp.
Go to Abt or some other "tuner" and you get it.

I agree with Steve, Audi already has a 4.2 V8 that makes 420hp. They should at least pump the S6 to 450hp, then have the RS6 truly leap the M5 with ~525hp. However, with the 420hp V10, the horsepower climb is quite even from A6-S6-RS6, it's about 330hp-420hp-5XXhp. But does the US have a market for an S6 sedan and wagon, especially when they don't look any different from the A6 4.2? I think not, but the biggest factor will be price. Do not overprice this car, Audi! Nobody is going to buy this car for over $70,000. RS6s in the US were being bought new for low $70s...

The wheels are a direct copy of the wheels of a BMW 325i. Nice choice, Audi...put the elegant, powerful-looking S8 wheels on it, Audi. And put some sporty RS4-type wheels on the RS6.
