Will the VW VR6 engine replace all Audi V6 engines. ???
The first Audi with the new 3.6 litre VR6 280 hp engine will be the new Q7.
The 3.6 VR6 is also rumoured for the Audi A6 and Audi A4 B8.
I don't like that idee at all.

Although i don't exactly know what a VR6 engine means, Audi has to offer more and more horsepower in their cars and for some reason the 3.2V6 does not stand up any more. So to let the TT(-S) keep up with the Cayman/Boxster, Audi needs a bigger engine in the form of the 3.6VR6.

I won't surprised if Audi still comes out with a V6 to fill up the gap between the 2.0TFSI and the 3.6VR6.

Here an explanation:

And if you can read german, look here:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/VR6

But at all, the idea is not so bad.
The engine can be mounted with an DSG transmission.

I dont think so, the upcoming new 3.2 FSI with Valvelift System shows what is under Development. 300 HP and 330NM with only 10.4l/100km (Premium Unleades Fuel, 98 Octan).

--> "Audi Roadjet Concept" <--

3.2 FSI with Valvelift System
7 Speed DSG Transmission
Audi Dynamic Steering
