In Audi Magazine's January '06 issue, they say Bang & Olufsen is designing a truly state-of-the-art sound system for the A8, with 1000 watts. The only other car I know to have that many watts is the Ford Mustang with the Shaker 1000 option, but that's only said to be loud, not high-quality. I own a Bang & Olufsen radio, and while it's a little quirky and too expensive, it produces very high-quality sound.

Just watched an S8 video, turns out the Bang & Olufsen system is already in the S8.

Yes, the price is high for top of the line sound and design... You just have to desire if you want to spend the money on it... ;)

I think he was talking about the danish price... :) Everything is expensive as hell, when its call B&O or as any relation to cars!! :(

Oh okay. I just assumed he meant the British pound or pound sterling (isn't that what that symbol refers to?). I don't know what the symbol is for the Danish krone (is it krone or kroner?).

*edit: Conversion says 6,000.00 EUR = 44,771.76 DKK.

yes I think he meant pounds, which is about 11 kroner (DDK) for the 1 pound.

But last danish price I saw was about 80.000 kroner... or 7200 pounds

Sorry I don't mean to nitpick, I was just confused because I'm looking after the price since they haven't announced pricing for the United States yet.

no problem... :)
But Denmark is one of the last countries you should compare the cost of cars and accessories since there's those high taxes there is on them... (180%) :(

I think it has been in the forum already. About year ago I guess..

Anyway B&O surelly can't be bad(altough there are better brands:) ) ..6k euro is I think right enough money. Imagine what you would pay for a good 5.1 sound system in your living room. And here for that 6k you probably get at least 10 speakers and 2 subwoofers, so it looks like a bargain:)))))

before danish tax you'll have to pay 6000 euro (ca. 45.000 d.kr.).
so it's going to be 100000 d.kr. plus, and the price i wrote earlier was announced in a danish newspaper, so i wasen't completly of.
