The swedish magazine Bilsport has their own way of testing standard and tuned car.
It's called Superstage and can in short be described as:
Start - 2 x slalom course - turn back - same 2 x slalom course - Finish.
The location is an airfield and the slalom course is made out of gates that you need to pass.

This video show me driving my 2002 Audi A6 Avant 2.7TQ with MTM stage 1 developing about 312 hp / 445 Nm.
The car has tiptronic in sports mode.
Tyres: Pirelli P Zero 235/40-18
Brakes: Original
Rims: BBS RXII 18x8.5"
Superstage Time: 1.38,2

Mr Gullabo is the magazine's driver which they use as a reference.
He is a very good driver and most certainly could polish my time a few seconds.

A picture from the event. The Audi quattro A2 -81 in motion currently has the official record with 1:23,20 running on 18 year old slicks...

Great movie!!!
:incar:
If you had got a few more runs I´d bet you would get well below 1.35. It's har do find a good line thru the gates since the cones are very small and hard to spot when tyou come hurling down the airstrip at full throttle. And to make a 180 turn around a cone sounds simple but it´s alot tougher than one could imagine.

The BMW M5 (stock) did it in 1.34,9 so I think not. (not 100% sure who drove it though)
I have Movit brakes fitted now and it would be interesting too see what could be done with them plus some more training.
With R-tires fitted...who knows?

Too much understeer in the 180 turn, much to be improved with regards to my driving but it's tricky I promise.

Thanks for the video. Very noticeable understeer on the 180 deg. turn, but nonetheless, not a bad time for a midsize Avant! :race:

Any suspension work done to the car?

No kidding. The problem is that you're going really fast and all you see is a small red cone getting closer. When do you brake?
I judged that the black skid marks was a good idea but everybody seemed to have braked too late...including me since my reference was too late.

Suspenison is only Audi original sports suspension (lowered some 2 cm).

I see, perhaps they should consider getting higher cones for better point of reference. Cannot seem to find the times for them, any idea how the RS4's fair in the superstage?

The track is the same for everybody...it's a magazine that uses the track primarily to compare different cars using the same proffessional driver.
Then they invited all the different clubs with 'normal' drivers.

2 RS4 drove at the same time as I did.
One had 500+ hp / 700 Nm (the red one on the pic) with R-tyres, tuned by DBR (MTM).
He did 1.39 something, but I think he had a problem with syncing the 2:nd gear.
Another stock RS4 with slicks  did 1,42 something.
It is very much up to the driver, but it's not uncommon that people complain about 'lost' turbo pressure :error: and hell knows what. You get the deal ;)
