I do like that car -> especially with the silver rims ... I do personally not like black rims very much ... well just my taste.
I do think that the "CGT - lookalike" - back of the gemballa looks just nice
well ... just my 2cnt

personally im getting tired of these 911s... every other week its "gemballa has launched its new..." or "ruf unveils its latest 911, the..." or "9ff has a new car on the market, the 9ff..." or something like that...

:boring:

stop it! just make a faster version of the car and leave it at that... :)

Are you serious?

First off, RUF usually does not send their cars to tuner shoot-outs like the one you describe.
They consider themselves to be a car manufacturer, not a tuner.

Secondly. You're comparing a RUF car that's almost 10 years old to the latest and greatest? Just imagine the improvement that has been to tires in that time.

The newest RUF RT12 does 0-200 km/h in 9.7 secs. verified, on the street, street tires and V Max is probably around 362 km/h with long gearing. This car is street legal, don't compare it to the 9ff you've seen go faster.

And their Yellowbird record at Nardo is still hard to beat for Enzos even 20 years after RUF set the record.

I suggest you take a long hard look into this:

In Sweden there has been so many problems with Gemballas, no one touches them. This will give you a hint: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18347&highlight=gemballa+fire

But Gemballa makes very nice kit to enhance the looks of the car, and they're very good at marketing.

That may all be true Erik, but I was responding to AudiQuattro's question.

But it's slower than the new RUF right??

One of the Gemballas in the list is a 993 from the same period as the CTR2. Gemballa may have louzy customer service, but the cars seem to be quite fast. And there's a good chance the Avalanche is faster than the RT12 around a track, right before it catches on fire and burns to a crisp.

:)

Hehe... :D

My friend was to go in a Gemballa Porsche around Nürburgring, but they only got to about Bergwerk before... :trash:

It's too bad, b/c I like the design. Its what the 959 would look like if they made it today.

Would Alois be offened if you ordered an RT12 with a Gemballa body? :)

In Moscow Gemballa also has bad reputation for techical faults etc. People tend to like Techart.I haven't seen any RUF cars here yet, however I am sure there is one or two. However,I agree that GEMBALLA styling is bold and agressive. If I was a porsche owner I'd definately choose their styling kit over anything else on the market.
