Supras have always impressed me by their sheer potential. No all wheel drive obviously, but great cars for track work. Have run with several on track days, most spank me.:D

hmm.. strange that theese supra's does 400km/t.. but quarter mile in 10,3 is bad with 900hp!! The fastest Supra I have seen on a movie did 8,45 on 1/4mile (1500+hp)

We have one locally built fast Supra here. Don't know what hp. nrs. he is claiming (800 something), but it's results in drag and topspeed competitions last summer were really impressive:

1/4 mile 10,9/218 kmh (on old, bumpy airfield)

terminal speed from standing start:

1 km: 270 kmh (168 mph)
1 mile: 301 kmh (187 mph)

alex_s3 : due to their inferior (for dragracing) rear suspension, Supra's run relatively slow ET's compared to their hp. and trap speed. Could be, that this 8 sec. Supra you saw on video, had solid rear axle w. ford 9". And sure he was running on prepped track, which helps a lot.

okei, I ment 900hp and 10.3 sec on 1/4mile isn't very good compared to a audi I have seen.. Audi S2 with 809 hp did 8.40 sec.. but u cant compare quattro vs rear wheel drive..

But anyway all this supra's are extreme..

Plus you have to think about if they did any lightening to the cars or not (stripped interiors, etc.), the conditions of the track, and what kind of tires they used.
