i've just can say

Here are the facts:
12-cylinder 5.5 liter turbodiesel
about 650bhp and 1100 nm of torque

At lower gears the power will be limited by the electronic.
The car weights 900 kg.

This car is just insane

Yes, but not like THAT!!!! :thumb:

It will be interesting to see how they worked out the tranny problems that (Judd???) was having with their desiel race car at last years Le Mans. Tons of torque equals massive stress for the transmission. I'm sure Audi wouldn't bring out a car that wasn't ready to kick asphalt, but that must be one tuff tranny!

will this be able to compare with the new porsche that is being unleashed for lemans?? Of course TDI means very fewer pit stops in the 24 hours :0: . Awsome thinking on Audi's part. But gonna have to pay for it with the low revving. Its going to need a good transmission too.

again,

this is why i love  audi and thier engineering ways.

they are here to show everyone (even without stressing it) that there is always another way of winning or even simply another way of accomplishing things.

Quattro..
S1..
RS2..
V8 in A4 body..
4.2TT...
dsg...
W12..
yada yada yada...

this expierimentation-style is really to my liking.

:D

:race: i cant wait to see these R10's race and chew everyone in thier path and spit them out off the tarmac.

Maybe they borrowed the transmission from a Veyron?

I would doubt it as the transmission in the Veyron is likely much much heavier than what the R10 is using. The transmission in a race car like this probably won't resemble anything we see on the road from what I'm guessing.

The porsche only have 450bhp. That's not enough.
