Hi all

I have recently bought an RS6 avant, i have fitted a miltek cat-back exhaust:dance: and would like to have the ecu's remaped.....however i am worried about how the gearbox will stand up to the extra torque, as i understand they are a bit fragile at best. How many people on this forum that have modded their RS6 have had gearbox problems?

Feedback would be good.
Phil

Welcome!

Go a little less than 700 Nm and you will be safe.

I understood that the gearbox is actually rated for less torque than the car has as stock.....is this right?

The "real money" phrase doesn't actually mean money, it means "old units" i.e. imperical units.

You British should stop measuring things with body parts. It's old fashioned and inaccurate. ;)

Don't disagree with you on this Erik, but arbitrarily naming a metric unit of torque after Sir Isaac (Newton) really isn't much better, is it?
