First, Audi will need to produce a new RS6 and then they will have to bring it to the US to keep up with their competition. The E55 wagon is here now and there is confirmation that the M5 Touring will make it stateside.
This week's Autocar (page 14) has the following information about the M5 Touring:
- new M spoiler above tailgate
- revised suspension (e.g. shorter struts) to improve load capacity
- self leveling rear suspension
- car will be available in US due to increased demand for estate cars
- 5% price premium over standard (saloon) M5
- UK sales begin early 2007
