Went to Dragwars here kast night for the first time in the RS6. Temp. was about 75F. Track is not the best I've seen.

So after 6 runs this is the best I could do with ESP off and riding brake at 2000rrpm.

R/T .379
60' 2.063
1/8th 8.780 @ 131.25 kmh
1/4 13.457 @ 169 kmh

So with more practise and a better reaction time I think 13.1 / 13.2 is possible.

I don't know how you would get into the 12's like I've read with a standard RS6.

I'm Revo'd, Remus, and BMC filters and use BP Ultimate 98

If I go again I'll try manual shiftng in 'S' mode at 5800-6000 rpm instead of redline and see what happens.

Don't bother. I don't think it helps. I think just leaving in S mode is the best choice.

Do you have a tip chip? Because a tip chip takes off the limiter and you can launch alot higher without the rpm's bouncing up and down .:revs:

Try even cooler temps like 50's -60's.

edit: Just relaized you do not have a US spec RS6 because the US ones have this problem.

I have the revo Tip Chip. You have a good time (12.42) but your spec. is good also. I will admit as the night got on and the temps dropped I did get quicker. On a couple of runs it bogged a little out of the hole. Could you explain how you got that time / did you stay in 'S' mode? / if you used manual what rev's did you change at and was that consistant through all the gears.

Cheers.

It was actually my brother (fast one) that did that time, but i think he was in D. Also some runs were done in tip mode. If you run in tip mode there is no need to change gears, you let it change by itself.

BTW did you turn the AC off?

Also, how long after you arrived at the track did you make youre first run?

Yes, I had the A/C off and the sunroof open :)

Left the bonnet up between runs (30 mins)

I have not seen a dyno sheet on an RS6 and the reason I'm asking about manual gear changing is that there may be more power @ 6,000rpm than redline - I'm not sure.

I'll run again in a couple of weeks and hopefully will have my SPS3 controller which lets me control boost and fuel.

Sounds like the problem is in your exhaust.

Remus does not make performance exhausts. They make exhausts that sound nice when you floor it.

You would recommend Miltek for your RS6... and make it catback, not just the back boxes.

This allows your engine to breath alot better.

Nearly got into 12 sec bracket with stock rs6

At recent tuning night at local strip, best time was;

660ft/ 1/8 mile; 8.525 sec & 137.18kmh

1/4 mile; 13.023 sec & 172.63kph

Running stock, 29,000kms on the clock, in S mode, 98 octane, esp & aircon off. No brake torque off the line as bogs with brake torque even at 200rpm, so just just nail it on green.

track temperature 22.7C/72.9F, rel humidity 70%, elevation 28metres asl, headwind of 3 knots.

Made two more runs and unable to obtain holy grail of 12.999 sec!

I guess I will have to wait for 3 knot tail wind.

Nearly got into the 12 sec bracket
