I didn't know that there was comming a ABT AS4-R. And I don't know if it's already posted on this forum, so here it is :p official link (http://www.abt-sportsline.de/news/index.php?sprache=e&flash=ok&id=821&webid=2) and here a dutch website (http://www.autowereld.com/nieuws.asp?artikel=2817&pa=&fr=3) with dutch info and pictures.

The result is a thoroughbred race car for the road which introduces a new tuning generation of explosive power and driving performance. The AS4-R V6 Bi-Turbo with 480 HP is celebrating its world premiere at the IAA 2005.

the power of the V6 Bi-Turbo was boosted to breath-taking 480 HP. With a maximum torque of 565 Nm the AS4-R accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 4.6 seconds :hahahehe: and keeps the driver firmly in his seat. The top speed of 300 km/h of the Bi-Turbo requires the driver’s full attention. The AS4-R simply is a race car with road licence and the top model in the Abt AS4 line.

I don't think they did that.. It's more likely that they put 2 turbo's on the new audi 3.2L fsi engine..
Same like what HPA motorsports did with there Golf R32 (http://hpamotorsports.com/projects_forsale_r32.htm) only that develops 550BHP :D

and the speeds/times are faster than of a RS6+ And the engine output is almost the same.. I thought the RS6+ has 475 or 480BHP

[offtopic] I got a movie on my phone of 1 of the first Golf 5 R32's in action! I'll post it soon :p

Makes sense. If HPA could do it, then why not ABT?

Nice.:0:

I was thinking about that in the first place :p
I was supriced that the new RS4 is a V8 non turbo..
I was thinking about a 3.2L fsi Biturbo.. Cuz the old RS4 has a 2.7L Biturbo..

But yeah the V8 has power in every range.. The 2.7 Biturbo gots a turbo lag.. But I was thinking that would be minimum with a 3.2 fsi Biturbo. Cuz of the extra 500CC's

But after all I love that High reving 4.2L fsi V8 in sport mode :D

The engine is the older biturbo V6 similar to the ones in the B5 S4, RS4, and allroad. Either the site I found made a mistake or they apparently increased the displacement a little as well.

here's some proof:

I gues we will find out when it's on the orriginal MTM web site :)

But I think they used the 3.2L fsi.. Why not? it's in the car already :p And HPA already convinced us that it's possible with there golf R32 and with there new passat 3.2L fsi four motion DSG with 575BHP (http://www.rs6.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7704) :D

So let the movies and info come MTM :p

I don't think they have increased the displacement.
This because Audi already had to reinforce the 2.8 block so it became the 2.7(biturbo)

A couple web sites have it listed as 3123 cc, but I'm still doubting it just because they don't mention a displacement increase from what I remember. From the picture we all know what engine it is, though.

If it is the 3.2L, then 3.1 after sleeving it would be believable (old 2.8L=2.7T).

Naw, it can't be the 3.2 because that engine looks completely different. The 2.7T looks like that with the Y pipe in the middle of the engine covers.

RS4 Engine:

Yes offcourse the 3.2L looks completely different. That 1 doesn't got two turbo chargers..
So how do you know for sure that Abt didn't made a Y pipe on the new 3.2L fsi? It's possible th0..
So lets hope it's the new 3.2L fsi :D that would make things more interresting than the 2.7T imo :hahahehe:

Lol, it's based on the 2.7T, just compare the pics. The intake on the 3.2 is on the right side whereas it's on the left of the 2.7T for starters.

So they can't make the intake also on the left side? They also change the intecoolers etc etc.. (and if you place 2 turbo's on it, like on the golf and the passat, they have to change a lot of things as well. that's why I think they maybe made it on the left side? or am I saying stupid things? :D)
But I just hope it's the new 3.2 ;) I'm little bit bored with the 2.7 :p It had it's best time :thumb: (and what a great time it was :D :rs4kiss: )
