Hi All,

In a blink of an eye a Moron cut me off and this was the result. Remember the car with the power loss? I went yesterday to the dealer to pick up my RS6 and after driving 500 meters I escaped unscratched from the accident. :vgrumpy: thanks to RS6 well built safety features.

buzz,

very sorry for the loss, but am glad no one was injured. As much as I love my Beast, that no ONE is injured is the most important thing.

Sorry to see those pics though. Never good to see an RS 6 like that!:(

Cars are disposable (even though it hurts), people aren't...

Glad you escaped OK.

And I thought that stupid people cutting in without any space was a US thing. I guess it is a worldwide epidemic after all.

Glad you are okay. Car parts can always be fixed to be like new, and sometimes better.

Hey Guys,

Many Thanks for all the kind words, and you are all absolutely right, the best thing about these cars is safety. After evaluation from the dealer and full inspection, no damage to the chassis was found, and and all other items will be replaced. Though, the toll on the insurance company will be expensive. Drive Safe and always belt up.

Glad you are okay and that the car will be repaired...but your pictures raise a question - why are your rotors not cross-drilled?

Hi LIRS6,

Thanks for the kind words, the disc brakes came with the car and I checked with the dealer, Their answer was that to reduce the price of the car. Which came as a surprise to me. Remember where I live there are no taxes and the import tax is only 5%. I would definately preferd to have the drilled ones and paid a bit extra. My Cayenne turbo was upgraded to have them!!

i'm glad that you are okay it's never fun to be in a crash.

I thougth that it was stock to have drilled brakes on a car like that, I think it is here in denmark.
