I was sitting in the Z cars office one day when I got a telephone call out of the blue from a chap called David Gomez from Spain,he said “can you build me the fastest car in the world”

I said “what are you after”

He replied “ I want you to build me a car that looks a million dollars and has two turbo Hyabusa engines a thousand bhp and four wheel drive”

“Ok” I said “ leave it to me”

Uhmm... that car IS an Ultima.:vhmmm: A heavily modified dual engine 4WD (a first I think!) Ultima...but an Ultima all the same. And Ultimas originate in England.

Ehh, i know it is so are the cars on ultimatestreet. But with a different configuration, engine/drivelinewise. None of them are the fastest cars in the world though and thats my point.

Why aren't they the fastest cars in the world? Right now the factory model built by headquarters IS the fastest accelerating street legal car in the world. So that one IS in fact "the fastest car in the world". No, not top speed, but 0-60,0-100, 1/4 mile etc.

Keep seeing an old school Mini at the local trackday running a hayabusa engine or similar in the rear. :eek:
