Some people say that Comic Book artists are not real artists. I beg to differ. Here are some examples of a really great comic artist who has a very diverse style.

His website: http://www.kaareandrews.com

Gallery: http://www.kaareandrews.com/gallery/index.php

So I take it that I'm the only one who thinks this guy is talented? Shame, I guess most prefer Picaso?:trash:

Couldn't quite make out the name, but the sig looks the same on both pics. Do you have a name for that artist?

I like his attention to detail as well as Kaare's. On your two pics, note the detail of Hulk's teeth and the wrinkles on Spidey's costume.:thumb:

Those are not wrinkles those are muscles!!!
Ben I love those drawings you posted that is some unbelievable work. I assume those are for sale? They would be a great addition to the Home Theatre design. Does he only do comics? I would like some Lord of the Rings!!! That is going to be the theme for the theatre!

:D No, not the muscles Stu, the wrinkles on the costume. Look at the Spidey pic Code_2025 posted again. Notice right at Spider-Man's ankle he has "wrinkles" in his costume, also on his thighs, right where they would be in real like. Now thats attention to detail!:thumb: And the "muck" on Hulk's teeth. Nice.

As for Kaare, the closest thing is this pic below from "Legend of the Monkey King", sort of Manga realism. No Lord of the Ring though.

And yeah, his pics were all for sale but all the ones I really love are already sold.

Code_2025, thanks for the link.

Some of his style reminds me of Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell (husband/wife team) especially the Storm one. Compare links http://www.imaginistix.com/paintingsdetails.cfm?Id=110
