I guess they are photoshopped from the RS4 pics.

But there should be similar wheels available.

Really nice, but I think the engine is the most important in an RS car.
It has to be faster than BMW M5 and in this case it needs around 600hp.I think this because if it will be as heavy as the previous one (more than 1900kg)-it is 3,25kg/hp with 600hp and it is still not sure that it is faster in all kind of racing.
Another thing is BMW said that the M5's engine would be able to perform 600hp at around 10000rpm.If they build this model(I think they will build this-even with csl technology) this will be deffinatelly faster than a 600 hp RS6.
Because of this "danger",I think the best way would be a lighter (maybe aluminium or stg. like this)model with around 1700kg and 630hp.In this case it will have only 2,7kg/hp-less than in MTM RS4 Clubsport and it would be faster than a 600hp M5.
(a 600hp M5 would have around 2,9kg/hp)
They could get 630 hp from a new RS6 easily I think, because it is probably will be a 5,5 litre V10 high hp/litre performance engine ,and because of this with 550hp and with bi-turbo it is easily to reach 630hp-it would needs less powerful turbos than in the previous one.

The new RS6 will not be seen until late 2007/urly 2008 after the RS4 production ends.
The latest rumour is that the new S6 wil have the RS4 4.2 V8 FSI engine with ± 440 hp by 8650 rpm/min.

Well I think the new S6 will get a 5,2 litre V10-440 hp engine ,but it's my opinion,it is only guessing.
The other thing is, is it sure that the V8 RS4 will be produced until 2007?In this case how many will be produce by that time?

The new Audi S6 will be a normal production car by Audi AG and "not" by Quattro GmbH.
There for a V10 engine is not possible becorse it will not fit in the engine bay with out major redesign of the engine bay.
For one production S6 modell Audi can and will not do that change there for it will have a V8 and "not" a V10.

The RS4 engine is not that different then the new 350 hp 4.2 V8 FSI engine.

Yes, I also think that "adding lightness" is the best thing for a car company to do for it's performance models, but it is far easier to add power than to take out weight with the all the customer (and regulation) demands such as safety, air con, power this, that and everything, etc...

Yeah, they could get over 600HP from a Bi Turbo V10 (cause MTM already makes that with the Bi Turbo V8), but then, what will they do for the next model?

And as for your avatar... I was meaning to ask about it... Uhh...why a COW?

I don't think that BMW will produce all wheel drive M cars at all.

Agreed. If they do, they'll have to eat their shorts (or whatever) as they have said many times in the past that only RWD will do for an M car.
