OK, the search yielded one item from over a year ago. Has anyone figured out since then how to get these stupid things off without damaging the Alcantara? TIA

No way no how, dont even try it. They are heat pressed and you will damage the visor. If the bother you that much order the European ones they do not have them from what I have heard I could be wrong.
Do not even try a heat gun or similiar I am serious they are heat pressed and are on there for good.
