Already done in chrome: I doubt very much if that's available. In seven years as an active Audiphile, I never heard of someone wanting their Audi "chicken wire" grille done in chrome, so there's probably no market for such a product.

As for getting them done, that would be a challenge too since they are not made of metal. I'm no expert but I don't think a metal plating will work over plastic. It would crack and peel as the plastic flexes, I think.

Didn't you paint the chicken wire on your Gallardo the same color as the car? So I guess paint would work, but chrome is not paint.

Chroming the chicken wire would, in my opinion, ruin the look of the car and make it unsuitable for resale (although paint could be painted over to make it black again). It would go from stealthy to obnoxious in its appearance. I suspect you disagree, and it's your call, but I gotta ask -- why do you want to do this?

S'matta, man? Don't you dig my Motown sig? :bye2: :bye2: :bye2:

You're right, of course. There are more chromed-up cars in Detroit than Europe. But colorful interpretations of pricey German sedans also have caught my eye in Miami, Los Angeles and elsewhere.

It's part of American culture, almost a matter of free speech in a freedom-to-express context. Add in Yankee individualism, plus input from cultures worldwide, and strange things happen.

In other words, I personally do think chroming the chicken wire is a bad idea. But after giving it further thought I'm not too surprised, two years out of the box, that someone wants to try it -- and, hey, it's his car & his money!

I had no idea edo did stuff for the RS6, nor Audis at all.

Their webpage is a bit difficult to understand for non-Germans.

thats exactly the look i'm looking for, too bad they're in europe. I guess i have a pic for reference once i take it in to the local tuning shops.

to answer the earlier question about why?
answer- why not! the pic confirms my vision and i like the outcome..
