Several months ago I contacted Ultimate Pedals and inquired about having some custom units made for my RS6. Well, they made a set of aluminum pedals with an engraved RS6 logo. A friend of mine who is a graphic artist then took on the task of painting the logo with brake caliper paint. What a painstaking job!! :( , but the end results are great :applause: The following is a link to some pics; the feature didn't work for me.

Since I've already paid for the computer set-up, interested parties could order the pedals without the additional charge. Contact www.ultimatepedals.com

For some reason, the attached pics aren't showing. However, if you click on the WebShots link I gave, and go to the section about the RS6 pedals, you should be able to see the pics.

Good luck,

I'll try to attach a photo, even though my first attempt didn't work. The Webshots link should work, and show all the images...

Thanks Bob for taking the time to make them - and to tell us about them.

Looks great!

They look great! Two questions - how much, and for the installation, did you just drill and bolt them on?

thanks in advance,
Bill

I'd like to apologize to the community for the poor quality of the enlarged image. I think the ones on the WebShots site may be a bit better.

I've misplaced the invoice for the pedals, however, I believe they cost about $225 plus the setup fee. The latter has been paid by me, so new purchases shouldn't have to pay that again. If anyone is interested in the pedals, they should contact Ultimate Pedals (see the website) and direct inquiries to Rob.

Painting the logo was another story!! :lol) The pedals with the engraving alone are also quite nice, and don't take the hours of painting time.

Installation wasn't too bad if you have some agility. The foot rest and gas pedals were very easy --- line them up, make some small drill holes, and use the supplied screws. The brake pedal required removing the rubber cover, lining up the new pedal cover and marking the spots for drilling. Drilling was a small "pia" (pain-in-the-a**). The pedal is then attached with the supplied bolts. My installer inadvertantly drilled one of the holes with the new cover partially attached. He got a little off-center, and the hole in the cover got "enlarged" a bit. Not the end of the world, because that hole is somewhat out of sight.

IMO, these pedals are much smarter looking than the factory after market pedal covers. Just another personal touch....:rs6kiss:

Bill,

I'll make another attempt to post a pic --- the brake pedal with just the red paint. One can see the details of the engraving. Ooopppsss --- it didn't work, and I can't delete this message. Sorry...

I bought a set for my GT2 wuth the logo engraved but now you gave me a great idea about painting the logo!!!
Mine cost $245 plus set up must be because of the clutch pedal :) !
Either way they look good and the guys at Ultimate Pedals are real nice people, very prompt and reply in a heart beat with any question you may have.

Interesting idea - thanks for the pics and nice work. I mounted same pedals last fall, but it never occured to me to paint them.
