Just curious if anyone with a chipped RS6 is getting into the 12's for 1/4 mile and do you possess any time slips? TIA!

No chip, so sort of off topic...

I've been reluctant to post this because I figured I'd get laughed off the forum and because I don't really believe the numbers myself...

No timeslips, just G-Tech Pro results. Of course, G-Tech isn't the last word in accuracy, but tests on my TT and BMW when stock were pretty much in line with published values.

Conditions: 4 deg. C (high 30's F), wet (!)

0-60 4.3s ; 4.4s
1/4 mi. 12.8 s @ 112.1 mph ; 12.6 s @ 113.9 mph

I'll put my flamesuit on now... :rs6kiss:

No need for flaming, only Nord will do that.:D

Why is that so unbelieveable? You say it was 4 deg. C? That's really cold. My RS 6 runs supreme when it's cold out (as do all turbo cars).

And those #s are within a tenth of a second of what Car & Driver published (4.3/ 12.9 respectively).:thumb:

G-Techs are not as accurate with the drag strip. Usally you get better numbers on a G-tech. It seems about right for G-tech.

My dad got 12.4 with chip and exhaust.

Everything seems in the ballpark with those numbers, except for mph in the quarter mile. I've seen 106-109, but never 112 or 114.

Sure can't vouch for the accuracy of the timers, 2 different ones in this case, but this thread all started because someone I know didn't believe an RS6 could break the 12's, chipped or otherwise. His only proof he wanted was a time slip. No biggie.

I have ran 12.67 @ 11x mph at California Speedway Fontana before. It was about a year ago during summer, roughly 98-100 degrees, 25mph headwind, only mod was a ecm flash. My friend might still have the video, if not I know someone else who has the 12.7 one.

Nope, threw it out long time ago. Time slips are meaning less to me, since you can just pull off anyone else's time slip and call it your own. I'll see if I can get a hold of the video clip. No promise but I'll do my best :) Actually I think I've posted one of my time slip LOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG time ago. You can try searching on this forum if it's still around. Good luck:0:
