For any So Cal people who are interested, the monthly Carlsbad meet is tomorrow. The meet starts at about 7:00am in the parking lot of the:

Carlsbad Premium Outlet
5620 Paseo del Norte, Suite 100
Carlsbad, CA 92008

There's a good turnout of all representatives (Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Vipers, Lotus, etc.). I haven't seen an RS6 to date, but that will change Saturday as I will be driving the Audi down there. :)

A group of us from the Porsche board will be meeting in Irvine:

OC Meeting Spot @ 6 AM on 5/28:
Alton Square - Irvine
5365-B Alton Parkway
Irvine CA, 92604

Last month we rolled down I5 with about 20 cars or so. It was a pretty cool sight. 3 CGT's are supposed to show up tomorrow. Anyway, if anyone is local, you are welcome to join us. If you have kids, the meeting spot is the same exit as Legoland. The cars disperse as the mall opens ~ 10:00 am and that is when Legoland opens. We usually make a day out of it. Hope to see a couple of you there.

Ben,

That would be cool! I forgot to add, we're leaving from the Irvine location around 6:00 am. Try to be there by 5:50 if you can. I'll PM you my phone number in case you're running late.

Mr Kram:cheers:

Thanks for the heads up, it was a great turn out! Two CGTs, Gallardo, couple Ferraris, Elises, the Jag supercar, and more Porsche TTs, GT2s,GT3s, etc... than you could shake a stick at!:thumb:

If one of the mods would assist me in posting pics (I can't post anything that is decent size) it would be most appreciated.

Ben,

Glad you could make it. The turnout was pretty good considering the sketchy weather. Get the pics up! :D

Pics are in the gallery. Sorry for the poor quality, but by the time they are resized they lose a lot. http://www.rs6.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/1344

If anyone wants the good quality versions, send me a PM with your email. WARNING: The pics I send are nice but BIG:D

There is a little red Lotus like this one at my Country Club and man is a it a cool looking car in person. I am going to try to get a ride in it one day.

Thanks for linking Stu:cheers:

And thanks again for the heads up Mr Kram:cheers:
Sorry I wasn't able to stay longer but next time I will. I guess these are every month so I'll be attending quite a few.:thumb:

One thing I thought amazing was the attention our RS 6s got. As you can see in the one pic, two guys are standing over by my car (one of them is pointing at the "Shark" decal sent to me by GoFast (thanks again:D ), and another is checking out Mr Kram's Beast. With all the exotic cars present, I was suprised anyone noticed our cars. It was cool to over hear someone say, " Hey, did you guys see the RS 6s?":addict:

I don't know if everyone has heard the sad news.... but yesterday, the owner of a P-CGT died at a track event at Fontana raceway during a track day. The passenger died on impact and the owner died enroute to the hospital in the helicopter.

Forum Tribute to BMK (http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=27660&perpage=15&pagenumber=7)

From looking at the pictures below, and reading all the post about the owner (Benjamin Miles Keaton) it appears he's the one who Benman captured in the picture of the P-CGT. Many posts mentioned how they had just seen him at the gathering.

He just had a baby daugther and was a newlywed. He was a valued member of the P-boards and know by a couple audi owners in SoCal.

Let's keep it safe out there, be it on the track or on the roads.

My prayers go out to the families and may Ben 'vaya con Dios'.

Yes, sadly it was reported: http://www.rs6.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6811
And yes, I did get to meet him if only for a few minutes. As the Bible says: "Unforseen occurances befall us all". Very sad.
