How many RS6's were imported to the US

I'm hearing about 800 +-.
I'm # 10 on the RS4 list at my local dealer. He said they got 15 RS6's. One was actually on the floor for a while he said. A few beneath me will drop off so I'm wondering what my chances are of getting one? If I can't get one I'm gonna hurl puke:

Originally, 860 RS6s were imported to the U.S. Sales were looking so good at first that Audi decided to import another 150-200 of them. However, a surprising number of people dropped off the waiting list, and many potential buyers had been told by their local dealers, "sorry, we don't have any more available" on moved on to buy other cars. So, those extra 200 or so cars were sitting on dealer lots for a long time. As an example, I bought my RS6, model year '03, in August 2004 at $15K off the sticker price.

To answer your question directly, a little more than 1000 RS6s came to the U.S. Estimates that I've heard in regard to RS4 imports have ranged from 500-1200 annually.

If your dealer got 15 out of the 1000 RS6s that came to the U.S., he'd get around 15 RS4s annually if 1000 came over each year. At #10, you would get an RS4 if only 700 came over. If only 500 came over, your dealer would probably get 8 RS4s, and you'd have to depend on those couple of people dropping off the list. If you expect that to happen, I'd think your chances of getting an RS4 are really high.

Someone here posted that 800 was the # of RS4's coming to the US. If that's true than I'll have a good chance to get one I'm hoping, but a close one from what you say. Probably Avus,Graphite? or Daytona for me. Still holding out hope for the seats and the wheel too.

Hi,

I had posted recently about APPROX 800 RS4 will come over.

I was originally told 1250 of em.

I recieved some new Audi AG documents that state approx only 800 of them will ship to the US.
Obviously, if they fly out of the dealers, they may add more, like the RS6's.

The order guides will be available in Dec and the cars will start to arrive the end of March.

For technical reasons, AOA will wish to keep the number of RS4s imported into the US below 1000 per year. This has little to do with marketing its almost entirely a technical/supply issue.
