Order Guide: Jan 2006
Ready dates: 2/24/2006
Port Release: 3/24/2006
not 1250 like thought before.
Limited to about 800 total in US.
Q7's will have order guides by 4/2006
First Q7's with 4.2v8 5/20/06
then, Q7's with 3.6v6 8/21.06
Yes, that's the new 3.6L v6 (approx 280hp) for Audi/VW's.....

Do you mean the Q7 will have a VW 3.6-liter VR6 engine instead of Audi's own V6 3.2-liter FSI one.

That will be a BIG BIG mistake by Audi.
They have make the same mistake with the VR6 engine in the A3 and TT.
Thats why the new Audi S3 will have a 272 bhp 2.0T FSI engine and not a VR6.

Hi Kurt,
My dealer told me a few days ago that the ordering guides would be available in September. That seem like adequate lead time for customers to specify the colors and content of their cars. January ordering guides would be way too late.
The ready dates and Ship dates were the same as you posted.

I have a pdf file, that is an internal Audi doc, with release dates and other data for current and upcoming Audi products.
It has order guide dates, ship dates and release dates, among other info.
It's dated 4.26.05.
This isn't just stuff I 'heard'.
I have hard proof of these dates.
As always, dates are subject to change, or course.
I was hoping Sept./October as well, but at least we'll get them soon after.
(initial shipments anyway)

I doubt that it is the VR6 - due to the fact that the Q7 is basen on the Touareg/Cayenne plattform - it shoud be the regular V6 engine which is currently used by VW & Porsche, with some "upgrades" :hahahehe:

That is the VW 3.2 liter VR6 engine with 250 bhp.
