I admit to owning a white suit, taking my ease beneath a Palmetto, mint julep in hand and contemplating how unpleasant it must have been in Fort Sumner during the siege, oh and I do have a real panama hat as well, from that fine 'gennlemen's outfitters' in Charleston SC. I have been asked if I'm Tom Wolfe, as if he is the only guy in a white suit that 'talks funny'!
I think Southerners talk pretty damn funny, and I like it!
