Toghether with some friends I held a track day at a local gokart track last weekend. We invited a bunch of nice people with nice cars, and had a blast in the beautiful sring weather!

Yes, I know its fairly redicolous to run such glorious cars at a gokart track, but the closest real track is Våler at 600km away.

We ran the CSL with my AX22 datalogger!

Surprisingly, the SL55 AMG was as fast on the straights and not much slover in lap times

Caught out by the AMGs cavebear torque... luckily no damage!

Theres an article with more images at my site www.evo.no. Hope you enjoy the images even if the article is in norwegian.

Nice pictures, but what are the times of the other cars?

The other cars were timed from a standing start, so they are not compareble to this time. But the fastest car was a Sierra Cosworth (4wd, RE540s and small turbo unbeatable on this track) followed by Opel Speedster, A4 1.8TQ MTM (04 turbo, 240hp) - that 911 was fast as well. The CSL did a little above average, cheap-ish cars were fast to it was probably more of a driver issue than car issue... ;)

If you're buying one, I guess I should not answer that one. It did'nt do so well, this is a very tight track and the car was let down by understeer and weight klling its brakes.

It's very nice looking in action though, very different from the slightly disjointed look it has on photos. If its not too expensive over there I think its a nice car to run :)
