Cars with real DNA vs wanna be !

Personally i prefer car manufacturers with serious competitional background and tradition , you know Ferrari , Porsche , Maserati , Bugatti and , yes even Lamborghini.

But I also like the cars , that in a way come from nowhere , wanna be sport cars , even though I don`t compare them directly to the Masters , because they just can`t be compared directly with those sacred names, no matter how fast they go , or how rapidly they corner .

I think you are thinking too small. Mercedes, Audi/Auto Union, Jaguar and even Aston Martin have been in competition before. You just don't see it as much anymore, but if go to your local Barnes & Noble, and just browse the old racing books, I'm sure you will find all these brands there at some time in history.
I am quite sure there are others, but it all comes down what you remember last/recently.

Who do you think are the wannabes? Keep in mind that there are various levels of competition. From Rally to F1, there are lots in between.
