Well, the UK spec list is out.

Do we yet know the official colors for the RS4 ?

Black
Imola
Red
Silver
Blue (don't think it's Sprint though, is it ?)
Graphite Grey

........anything official on the other side of the pond yet ?

I got the nice official presentation book of the RS4. All available colors are stated at the end. I will not mention all colors (the standard are all still there) but I confirm that the dark grey seen in some pictures is Daytona grey, as no other dark grey are mentionned. there is also a phantom black :vgrumpy:

Why can't you tell us what the colors are ?

that grey on the RS4 in Ingolstadt is not Daytona.....

Kujo,

What makes you say that? If Fab has the book and he confirms that it is Daytona, why doubt it? From the pics, it looks very similar and none of us have seen a side by side RS 4 to RS 6 comparison. Colors with zyrillic (spell?) can look very different under alternate lighting. I personally think it will be funny when it does come to light that it is in fact Daytona Grey after so many here thought "Wow, what a beautiful color, much nicer than Daytona Grey!".:D

Ben:addict: BTW, note the shimmer you guys mention in these Daytona Grey pics http://www.rs6.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3458&highlight=daytona+grey+rs6

If it is not Daytona Grey it means it is a special quattro GBMH color as in the book you only have metal grey, avus grey and daytona grey

An 'insider' posted on AW.com that it's a new color called Graphite Grey...
Supposedly, a special color for only the RS4.

I've seen Daytona Grey on TT's and RS6's, in person.
They don't look that good.

I'm not doubting that Daytona Grey is the only grey offered. That might just be a custom color/one off, for display purposes only.

What's the big deal ? If you got the book, it's just paint colors.....

So, what's the big secret about these colors? Can you please post them soon?

Hey guys just slow down please...:asian:

What secret are you talking about ??!! I did not mention all the colors because all the usual classics are available so no need to mention them all again and again.

I don't know what kind of book you got in Geneva but my book definitely states Daytona Grey....

Anyway the most important here is that we all get the new beast with the desired color.

cheers

Not to worry Fab. Some people are just adamant that their color is better, more sparkle, more shimmer. ( An example of "My color is better than yours";) ). Personally, if I was to buy it, I'd get the Blue, it looks incredible!

ben,
no one here has said one color is better than the other.
I could care less what they call the grey color.

I'm leaning more towards Phantom Black or Avus Silver.

Just wanted to know what the normal colors were going to be, that didn't require special order.

the names I got were straight out of the RS4 book given out in Geneva.

I guess the swiss word for Gunmetal translates into Daytona in English :)

color, just like a car in general, is a matter of opinion.
No one color is better. It's preference.

why the hell does a simple question like "what color will the car come in" have to be an ordeal ?

yes, the blue color in the photos is HOT. but will it look that good in real life ?

PS and some saturation can make colors much more vivid.

but, if it does look that hot, it will move up to the top of the list for sure !!

As you note, it might just be the photographs as color changes a LOT under different lighting (one of the main reasons why I think the color at Geneva is Daytona Grey ((which may or may not be)) since the color changes drastically under different lighting).

I'm sure someone on this board has seen it in the flesh who could advise how "similar" the blue looks as to how it's posted on the web.:0:

as for the sprint blue... goto your local dealer and check out the cabrio S4's... they ride with sprint blue instead of nogaro blue. (atleast thats what it says in the S4 cabrio brochure)

when i saw it on the cabrio (on the streets passing me by) i could tell you it looked a little too loud for that car simply because the cabrio is a real elegant player and the black top even stress more where the blue body was.

however, for a sedan i think it will look good just as the nogaro does. roof assembly etc.

if you notice the rs4 pics that are "taken at night".... i will state that since the nogaro is a real nice color Especially in the night... the Sprint blue will look even better since it will look even more electric. personally, i find the nogaro very attractive in the darkening or darker times of day.. since it has this pearl effect to it .. it really shows different colors at diffferent lights. and so will the sprint blue.

if you want pics that are not enhanced.. go back to where we saw the first sprint blue on the ring....Click Me (http://www.fourtitude.com/gallery/gallery2.php?mode=album&album=/Audi/A4-S4-RS4%20(B5,%20B6%20and%20B7)/RS4%20(B7)/Test%20Mule)

Anyone have any images of the new TT or other Euro spec Audi in Phantom Black ?

I know it's a new color, but just was curious if anyone had seen it on sheet metal.
