Had my first drive in an RS6 yesterday.
I was very curious about the car because of my familiarity with its alternatives.
I sold my 2002 M5 a few months ago, and have owned a 2005 E55 for 3 weeks now.
Had Audi built one this year and kept the engine, suspension and drive train identical, and simply updated the electronics and interior, that's the car I would have bought. It was Daytona Grey with the darker interior. Beautiful color and nice quality paint. The car's handling is nothing short of awesome for it's size and weight. It felt smaller and lighter than either the BMW or MB.
I'm sure the car has had it's share of problems, and not being able to order a decent Nav system and properly bolstered seats (though the stock ones are very comfortable) is annoying at the very least.
The engine sound, power, and steering competency are just big fun. Looking forward to joining you folks when they roll out the new model in a few years.
