Notice how the right side of the car (drivers perspective) has blue center caps on the wheels, and the left side has red. Whats up with that?

Perhaps to make sure you don't put the wheels on the wrong side. This would inverse the thread on the tyres, which could be dangerous on a car like this.

That's how it's done in Le Mans. Like was mentioned, it makes it easier for the race teams in the heat of the moment to know which wheel goes where. Since this car was originally intended to BE a Le Mans racer, that gimmic made it to production. Cool huh?:0:

thanks clam and benman,

i was thinking of that but i didnt post because i thought it sounded kind of strange because you could look at the thread and determine which way is front.

but, as always, i learn new things on this forum :thumb:

so if it is the case...why not make Red cap for Right side?

Yes, most would notice the tread being the wrong direction, more a gimmic than anything. As for racing, this feature comes in VERY handy when dealing with slicks.

That's the same rear wheel setup the MB 190E had when it came out of the factory.

These things are crashing quicker than rocks falling out of the sky... Insane!

Typical Ferrari-Men, only they'd do such a thing to the competitor's finest. :(
