Interesting indeed, but it is old news, from 02/2004. By now, the idea of the Zerotranny should be around if it is as revolutionary as they claim.

Not always the case. Sometimes if a specific technology is TRUELY revolutionary it takes a LONG time to get through the red tape. It would seem counter productive but industries don't like revolutionary breakthroughs. Remember the article points out that in the end, the trannies would be cheaper to build, service and maintain! Yet they will also be superior! There are alot of companies that will not like this product to make the market and will spend a lot of time and $$$ to make sure it takes awhile before it shows up for sale.
