Yeah, I thought it couldn't be happening...
Police officers in South Africa recieve £300 a month wages, and have to pay for their own equipment, amunition, weapons, clothes and even patrol car petrol. I seriously had doubts any could afford to run the Gallardo. :vhmmm:

IIRC, someone stole the lug nuts at a gas station. The real damage occured when they tried to pull the Gallardo onto a flatbed truck.

Firstly, no the cops in SA dont pay for all that stuff that Klint mentioned. Dont know where you got that from :confused:
Anyhow, this car is actually not an SA Police car. It was donated by Lamborghini SA during the Christmas season as part of the SA "Arrive Alive" campaign which looks at trying to make SA's roads safer during the holiday season when everyone is travelling to different cities in the country.
Not sure why Lambotghini SA donated it during this month though. Possibly a marketing strategy of theirs.
