Hi all from Singapore/ South Africa (Up and down between both places). This is my very first post. A COMPLETE AUDI FAN, and just cannot wait for the RS4 to arrive.

Quote from CAR UK:
"BMW's all new M3 vs Audi's forthcoming RS4: it's the showdown enthusiasts have been waiting for. Our spies caught the two hard hitters at the Nurburgring: 2006's M3 coupe brazenly lapping the track , next years Audi skulking on nearby roads. Both have 400bhp V8s.
With the RS4 only 4 months away, Audi is making little attempt to disguise its flagship A4. Honeycomb mesh packs out the facelifted car's single-frame grill and deep new front spoiler. Twin radiators, as used on the current RS6 Plus, lurk behind.
Five spokeRS alloys fill out the flared wheel arches, and enlarged side sills and twin oval tailpipes complete the makeover.
Whereas the last RS4 had a twin-turbo V6, the new car runs a revised version of the S4's 344bhp 4.2 litre V8. The engine has been overhauled and its red-line, cranking up peak power to 420bhp. The next S6 will adopt the same engine.
As with the MKI RS4, power is sent to all four wheels via a six speed manual transmission. This time however the car is available as a 4-door, as well as traditional avant.

The new M3 coupe follows in late 2006. Dont be fooled however by the 4.0 litre displacement and 400bhp output: this is not the old M5 engine, but a new V8.
Developed on the same drawing boards as the M5's V-10, it weighs no more than the outgoing six. Notably fewer moving parts, substantially reduced inner friction and a lightweight valvetrain create a lighting fast throttle response and an unparalleled willingness to rev. Special features include an even quicker Bi-Vanos camshaft control system, one instant-on throttle blade per cylinder, and a revised lubrication system geared for performance driving. A stripped out M3 CSL is also pencilled in, possibly with the V8 developed to 4.4 litres and 440bhp.
Plans to call it M4 have been dropped. There is an outside chance that the convertible version will be a folding hard top, but the fixed head coupe os a cert."

GO AUDI RS4!!

Those specs would make sense any other day, but with the 20", the source's credibility just went down the pooper :p
