Hey guys i was just wondering if you had and ideas on what i could get my dad for his car for Christmas, His birthday is Christmas eve and i wanted to get him something good for the car. I was thinking something like the smoked taillights that are on the AWE tuning rs6. But im not too sure. His car is dolphin Grey. What kind of mods would you suggest? Keep in mind i have a fixed income of nothing since im away at school so it cant be anything like a chip. Thanks for your help.

Don't get all pissed off audirs6sport....but as soon as H-sport is done with the Bars on Benman's car....maybe a set of them. Also if you get taillights get them off a 2001 A6 4.2...they are all red...my wife got them for me for a v-tine present.

Good luck

Yup I have a set of those older a6 taillights on mine as well. They look awesome~! Don't worry, as long as those junks don't go on any of my cars, there's no reason for me to get pumped up at all =) After all, it's your car. You do what it pleases you, and hopefully everyone will be happy. :D Vdub, my friend sells a really good set of hid conversion kit. I've been through ALOT of hid sets (literally wasted about 1500 dollars so far just on all the kits I've been through), and theses are the best ones I ever had so far. If you decide to get it from anywhere else, make sure the bulbs are rated class A. Usually you can tell by the way the bulbs are constructed (one piece stem vs multipieces attached). Anything above 6000kelvins, you will not be able to see much on the road. Shoot me an e-mail and I can send you some side by side comparison pics if you'd like and further details. Good luck! :)

These are not expensive and with the slush we just got in Westchester, you are soon to follow on the island. I run the rubber floor mats year-round, just makes it easier to clean the inside. The trunk mats are great for everything. The weathertech trunk liner has a great/tall lip, so any mess is no problem.
Like I said, get the OEM floor mats, they fit better. The trunk matt is your call, I like the weathertech ones.

Maybe spice up his collection with some Tag Heure's F1 :D It's an awesome watch, I love wearing that watch! LOL Does he have the rolex submariner yet? That's another incredible watch =) But like I said, since I don't know what your "BUDGET" is, it's hard for me to mention any other great gifts.

This thread has helped me narrow down what I want to get for Christmas, but Santa says he's having trouble getting it.

I'd be very happy with either the RS6 watch, assuming it costs no more than about $250-300 US and has an alarm, or the RS6 jacket that appears to be made of nylon. But especially the watch, which my girlfriend wants to give me ... if it can be got! So I went to the quattro gmbh site, which -- before I could access any product information -- insisted that I identify my country. When I entered USA, or even Canada, I was directed to audiusa.com

So I went to audiusa.com, which has Audi products but no longer even lists the RS6. A more thorough search produced the RS6 keyring and scale model, which already were given to me by my salesman. So I emailed them; reply said they don't carry these items. So then I called audiusa and asked how I can get items they don't carry, even if I have to go to Europe; they said they could not help me. So I said, "You mean you have no working relationship with any company in Europe?" Answer: "That's right."

I was incredulous but polite when I hung up. Can anyone out there get one of these to me in Florida before Christmas (i.e. by next Friday)?

I just got off phone with Audi in Germany, using the phone number given to me by AOA as one where they would speak English at the other end. Not so, tho; the woman who answered spoke only German. I was surprised anyone answered at all, since it's about 11-12 on a Friday night there, and I thought the factory & HQ would be shutting down about now for the holidays. Anyhow, the number I tried was 011 49 841 893 6600. The only word both of us understood was Audi.

How about the satellite radio? XM or Sirrius? I think around $400 and real easy to install.

I already have Sirius, but for anyone else that is an excellent suggestion!:thumb:Siriusly, I enjoy mine a lot. Great way to follow news, markets, even NFL games underway...not to mention commercial-free music, much of it great stuff that's not available on commercial airwaves.

I appreciate the link to the budget watches -- they look much better than their prices suggest -- but I couldn't determine if they have an alarm. I doubt I'd even want the RS6 watch if it doesn't have an alarm, either ... but if it does I'm still interested, even if delivery must be post-Christmas. Does anyone here have one, or know about an alarm?

God, please forgive me, I am spoiled rotten.:rs6kiss:
