What would you choose?

or: - AUTOMATIC?

I wouldn't know at all what I'd choose.

anyone with manual/auto experience in the S6?

I happen to do lots of city driving. Also, when mostly on the highway, I'm in some sort of traffic. If the S6 were going to be my daily commutter/driver vehicle, and given my current commuting route, I'd go with the automatic for sure.
I don't care how hard core you are, but if you go with manual in the sort of conditions I face daily, you'd be plain stupid to go with that choice.

Evaluate your current situation, GF/Wife inclusive, and if she plans to use the vehicle, can she work with a manual car? Make the correct choice that way.

Do you have to deal with traffic issues quite often? If not, STICK ALL THE WAY!

I'm leaning towards the Auto, because idd, in heavy traffic (wich is A LOT here in Belgium (stupid country)) it's much more convenient.
But the stick... it gives me the shivers (in positive way) when I think about the combination V8-Manual.

Also: anyone knows about reliability of the two transmissions?
