That's the picture. S8 is v10 550 hp. I wonder if there will be a rs8. Can't imagine the hp:bigeyes:

The full article talks about no RS in other categories than A4 and A6. the A8 gets a audi own biuld V10 (not the lamborghini one) the new RS4 gets a n/a V8 with 425HP the S3 is about to get a n/a V6 with 330Hp.
With the RS4 they want to show, that they have enough knowledge to build an n/a V8 with this much horsepower. The RS4 is coming as saloon and avant.
A3 is about to become a family with a convertible.
There is also an A6 Allroad, and two crossovermodels or suv the Q7 and Q5. nothing said about the TT..

that's odd, Lamborghini gets the Audi engine.
Get with the program
the V-10 engine is designed by Audi, the block and heads are cast by Cosworth Technology and sent to Györ in Hungary where the engines are built, then they are sent to ingolstadtz, Neckarsulm, Sant'Agata Bolognese or wherever. Look closely at the castings, you can tell its a standard VAG engine.
With the impending disposal of CosTech, expect the the castings to originate at Györ.

Gentelmen,
According to my Audi sales and rep guy, believe it or not as of yet Audi has not yet decided which engine to equip the S8 with. Whether it would be a version of the RS6 motor or the Gallardo V10 they just plain dont friking know, reminds me when I ordered my RS6 and the shrugged shoulder's answers I recieved.
But..... I decided to go ahead and tell my sales guy that I want the 1st S8 that they get, and he assured me that as soon as any info/specs/order list is available to him I would be on it. Lets see what happens, needless to say I want the car bbbbbad.
Just cant wait to see what it is actually going to look like and what power plant it will be blessed with.
Will keep everyone posted with any news that I get, albeit that the S8 will be a 2006 model a would not expect any news anytime soon.
