looking for opinions on the upcoming CLS55

please give your take on the upcoming CLS55...

I visited the local MB dealer today, with an AMG center.

They released the CLS this weekend and they had a CLS350 with AMG package (19" etc.).

Oboy! That car is amazing, very good looking!
So nice lines, and low too.
If I could afford one I'd get one straight away.
Price is like E-class + about 12.000 Euro.

The CLS 55 is by far the most beautiful Benz at the moment, and one of their best model ever. It´s got character, charm and glamour, something we can´t see in a Mercedes all together for a long time. It would be my first choice as an everyday car.

call me crazy but i had to do it once i saw it for the first time a week ago. i'm currently #2 on the list @ palm beach mercedes benz...i asked them on the cls 65 and no word, it might turn out to be a special order item, which i will special do!!!!!

Erik, the Brabus CLS looks wonderful from inside, even better than the AMG version, but the exterior :hahahehe: :nono: I don´t like it.

I have been to AMG in Affalterbach, Germany.

They have made loads of specials, like E65 and the E73 (7.3 litre without compressor). I am sure they could make a CLS 65 if you want.
The biggest problem is probably to get in contact with the right people, or perhaps that there is some US legislation to stop special cars like that.
But the 65-engine is already approved anyay.

If you can afford it why let anyone stop you? :)

Yepp CLS is nice. Seen it down in germany when wisiting RUF.

One thing i know fore a fact, the Terminator R turbo is going to make you :MTM: in terms off being fast.

I must be in the minority here, since I don't like the styling and point behind the CLS, the front resembles a Citroen C5 front really well, the rear doors are pathetic, basically either have a coupe or a four door, those two shouldn't really be mixed.

Don't get a CLS, get a E55 or a CL55.

Better yet, there's always Brabus who can turn either the E55/CL55/600 into a cruise missile.

Personally I like the SL series a whole lot better, buth that does not compare with the CLS line.
In the magz I've seen pix in, it looks pretty decent. I'll have to wait until I see it in person to make final judgement. Always do it this way.

Klint- I will be turning to Brabus for the k8 tuning stage for the cls55. should take the hp output to 530 and torque to 700lbs cost for the upgrade will be 15 installed and the actual tuning will take place in newport beach, ca.
i will also be doing some interior work to make Brabus signature be part of the car if you know what i mean..

Good Stuff, Ricky....Has Brabus got anything for the CLS, yet? They tend to be pretty good and prompt on getting their parts onto the market before anyone else, when a New Merc' is launched.

Send the car to Kleemann not Brabus. Kleemann are far superior in their supercharger upgrades.
