So the BBS website lists the RS-GT wheel under RS6 fitments:

http://www.bbs.com/cgi-bin/nach_pkw_03_e.cgi?RS6|Audi%20S-RS-Fahrzeuge

And the Tirerack does not:

http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_garage/WheelSearch.jsp?&autoMake=Audi&autoModel=RS6&autoYear=2003&autoModClar=Standard+Model

Who's right? (And no, I don't automatically trust the manufacturer's website).

I don't think it will fit the front without spacers. Spokes are too straigth, and probably not enough hub to make it clear.

I'm looking at the same rim ..... :D

Tirerack may not stock the wheel is it fits only rs6 - I will call BBS rep today and ask about fitment. Price (ex-tax) is approx. $1,100

Tirerack usually as practice does not have a wheel listed for a vehicle untill they are positive it will fit, although they have had goofs in the past.

As for BBS they make very high quality wheels but also make goofs. I remember a certain vendor that posted here in the past (a very nice man BTW) who asked for someone to come over for a test fit on a BBS wheel. BBS had assured him that a wheel for a customer would fit the RS 6 with no problems (I think this was going to go to GoFast). Bottom line the wheel was a good fit on the rear but the guys at BBS never took into consideration the size of the front rotors (absolutely woud not clear the caliper!).

Sorry to go on.

I would actually call up BBS of America, and just ask them yourselves. If there is one thing wrong about the fitment(which can be adjusted) TR won't list the wheel as a proper fitment, merely because they don't want to be responsible if something goes wrong, which is perfectly understandable.

BBS RS-GT 19x8.5 uses a spacer to clear the brakes ... Tire Rack tends to be a bit conservative and thus doesn't endorse the use of spacers very often ....

but, we can get them if you would like a set give me a call ....

Thanks for the responses, especially Luke! I don't like spacers, either, so I guess these are a no go.

here it is from horse's mouth:

You need for the BBS RS-GT for the RS6 a special kit with 4 spacers and 20 special bolts. The special kit cost extra and the price is conditioned of the dealer.

so, this is BBS customer care speaking ....
