thats in germany.. that translates to around $65,107.94 USD only for the manual.

the tip will cost around 55.200 Euros = $68,086.06 USD


however, i think it will be less here in the states just like the rs6 costs more in europe as well.

we are talking about a European base price of about USD 56,000 for a very basic car. European cars have pages of extras added.

Audi has bought up currency and has investments as a hedge against the Euro vs. $ disparity. So the next S4 here should be about the same price as the last one. Also as Nordo has stated the Euro versions have better equipment on them. The best example of this that i can think of right now is the difference in Navigation systems. In the States we get the plain unit between the speedo and tach. In Europe they have had the Navi+ for a while now, much better system and very expensive. Just little stuff like that & the option list is a mile long. Hell the carbon fiber beltline trim for the inside just became availble for the States for 2005.

Car manufacturers can only hedge for a certain time. The European manufacturers have pretty well run out of hedging options (think about it, somebody has to cover these bets).
This is why new European cars in the US are looking expensive and the manufacturers' balance sheets are bleeding red ink.

i think this article might have a typo.. they wrote 4 valves a cylinder (in the specs part).
