Audi usually launchs S series 2 yrs after A series, then another 2 yrs for RS series.
i.e. We probably have to wait till 2008 to see new RS6.puke:

If Audi doesn't change this policy/pace, I think even Audi engineers donno what's gonna put in new RS6 at this moment.

A "hole" within the Quattro GmbH named this:

V10 Bi-Turbo with FSI Technology, 5.0 Liter, 600 BHP, 750 NM Torque. ("...the Turbo Design is the Base for all RS Models")

This is based on the "Nuvolari" Audi.

They also work on a regular V10 non-Turbo with FSI Technology, 5.0 Liter. (-> S6)

No manual Transmission option.

DSG 6 Speed.

He knew about the RS6 plus first and i donīt see him as a "rumor spreader".

kool. =) why only 5.0L though? and only 750nm?? man. I wish they would make it least 6.0L

Because in its present versions, this engine is a 5 litre engine, not a 6 litre engine.
There is no need to turbo charge this engine to get 600 bhp from it. If quattro are actually planning to do so, then they are building a soft car for cruising not a hard car fordriving.
Other sources are suggesting that the new RS4 will NOT be turbo charged.
If you drive fast, you would rather drive a non-turbo charged 500 bhp car than a turbo charged car with the same horsepower. If you are into the 'rush', then you want turbos.

It is all about Marketing and Numbers. See, Mercedes uses a V12 Bi-Turbo for the top S-Class and "only" gets 500 BHP out of a 5.513 cmģ V12 Bi-Turbo.
At the moment it seems like Audi will hold on the Turbo Specs for all RS Models. Rumors said the RS4 will get a limited V10, the Head of Audi Marketing says: "...no V10 in the A4 Series". My guess: a new V8 Bi-Turbo with FSI and DSG having less than 480 BHP. That will make sense to me. Take a look at the Pikes Peak:

V8 Bi-Turbo FSI 500BHP

I hope it's going to be faster than the E's or the M on straight line, not just only around the track.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If what has been described is accurate, then the new RS6 will certainly eat the M5 for breakfast in a straight line on a dry track. But add Quattro 4WD plus a wet and windy road and it will be no competition. But what really clinches it for me is the DSG 6-speed gearbox. BMW's SMG II in the M3 is awful, and I have no reason to believe it'll be any better in the new M5, because it is still fundamentally the same system.

Moreover, if the RS4 has a V8 FSI bi-turbo configuration with 450 bhp + then there's going to an awful lot of really excited people on this forum singing its praises.

The new M5 uses the all new SMG III. Fully adjustable by the Driver. You can choose between 6 manual and 5 automatic Settings and last but not least it has a launch control.
The SMG III is way faster than the SMG II, in fact it will take some time to "Adjust" yourself to find the right way of using it.

Rumor has it BMW is considering a 5.5L V10 putting out 550HP for the M6 (power-to-weight ration), and is testing a turbocharged 6.0L V10 putting out 670HP that will probably power the M6 CSL...

Let's hope the CSL never rolls into production... :D

i have a feeling that the current M5 is 550 hp and not 507 . and it is underrated

Most likley see 420HP RS4 before 600HP RS6, if so may have to make the move.

The M6 is going to have the same Engine as the M5 ->same specs.

The M6 CSL will "only" get a modified ECU raising the BHP up to 550. Torque will not be raised.

Nah... I think that V10 really is putting out 500HP... However, some say BMW's been playing games with the performance numbers...

Oh well... :addict:
