the US version of the STi or the version that is brought to the US has 300 bhp.

why did they make a "Type UK" with 265 bhp?

"Inside, there's more cloth and a smoother centre console with neater air-conditioning controls, but the ambience remains that of a rally car fresh from the special stages. The car's pace hasn't changed either, with 265bhp of thrust from the turbo flat-four."

did i understand something the wrong way? correct me if so. did they mean just the WRX?

from what i know there are the:

impreza's
impreza rs's
impreza wrx's
impreza wrx sti's

so is there an "impreza sti" with the ones above as well?

I think this is because the U.K. has the FQ330 Subaru. It has @330 HP. This is a U.K. only car i believe.

The FQ "Stands for F-ing Qucik" ;) is an Mitsu EVO 8, not a Subaru.

The less power is probably to go with some sort of regulations. The base EVO in the UK is a bit watered down as well. The reason they're on sale is to try and cut out some of those grey imports that people like to buy.
